The Pile Integrity Test (PIT) is a testing method that utilizes the reflection of stress waves generated by striking the top of a pile to assess the integrity of the pile based on the information contained in the reflected waves measured by an accelerometer. At the Tsukuba Comprehensive Testing Center, we conduct field measurement operations that differ from typical ground investigations, including experimental work commissioned by various research institutions, various static and dynamic testing operations, as well as pile integrity tests and rapid load tests on piles. ■ Field Measurement Operations - Pile Integrity Tests (IT Tests) - Rapid Load Tests - Borehole Camera ■ Indoor Dynamic Testing Operations - Repeated Simple Shear Tests - Hollow Cylinder Shear Tests - Repeated Large-Scale Triaxial Tests - Small-Scale Triaxial Tests - Measurement of Soil Shear Wave Velocity using the Bender Element Method ■ Consulting In experimental work and various indoor static and dynamic testing operations, as well as field measurement operations such as pile integrity tests and rapid load tests, we collaborate with internal departments and partner companies, leveraging our long-cultivated technical expertise to comprehensively address our customers' challenges. ■ Experimental Work We receive numerous experimental commissions from various research institutions. Using the laboratory's experimental equipment, we conduct centrifugal loading experiments and shaking table tests, which involve the creation of model ground and model structures, as well as experimental measurements and data analysis. The structures we focus on include bridge abutments, embankments, reinforced earth walls, buried pipes, dams, and more. For these achievements, we have received excellence awards and engineer awards from the Public Works Research Institute.
